SCRIPTS records is passionate about producing, promoting and archiving music taking influence from contemporary concert music, noise, ambient and electronic composition. Founded by composers and Chicago natives David Paha and Edward Hamel, the concept of SCRIPTS began in 2015 while both David and Edward were living in Los Angeles. Growing nostalgic for the progressive and evolving music scene of their hometown, Edward and Dave returned to Chicago in late 2016 and released their first pressing shortly after. They continue to expand their catalog by seeking out composers and musicians while also beginning to focus on publishing books from writers and artists of various mediums.
